Swedish founders, a team in Colombo, one company.
Twire is a technology company founded in 2018 by Swedish founders. From our own office in Colombo, Sri Lanka, we help companies across Europe go digital with bespoke software, AI solutions, automation and integrations, cloud modernisation and dedicated engineering teams, with IT strategy and GDPR advice from the same team.

Why Twire exists
Before starting Twire in 2018, our founders spent more than ten years working with technology across three continents. Two things kept coming up.
Good engineers are hard to hire
European companies need more skilled developers than they can find locally. Products and digital projects wait while roles stay open.
Delivery is split across too many suppliers
IT strategy, software, integrations, hosting and privacy usually come from different vendors. Nobody owns the whole picture, and data protection is checked at the end, if at all.
So Twire puts the whole picture under one roof: IT strategy, software, AI and automation, cloud, dedicated engineering teams, and privacy and data protection.
The aim from day one has been the reliability of a traditional Nordic consultancy, the cost level of a team in Sri Lanka, and the freedom to grow or shrink the work as plans change.

The split I in our logo stands for the two halves of Twire. Each side does what it does best, and you work with one company.

Who leads Twire
Bobby Spencer
CEO and Strategic IT Consultant
Bobby leads Twire as CEO. He works directly with clients as a strategic IT consultant, from technology roadmaps and digital transformation plans to how a development team is set up and run.
He also oversees how Twire teams in Colombo are hired, organised and matched to client work.
Petra Spencer
Privacy Professional and Managing Partner
Petra is managing partner at Twire and leads its privacy and data protection work.
She works with clients on GDPR compliance, data processing agreements and outsourced DPO services, and she runs Light up a Life, our training programme in Colombo.
How we hire engineers
Every engineer on a Twire team has passed our own qualification process before a client meets them. Then you get the final say.
Screening
We read every application ourselves and look at experience, past work and the stack the candidate knows best.
Technical assessment
Questions and tasks on the fundamentals of that stack, reviewed by engineers already on our team.
Practical coding exercise
A realistic task that shows how the candidate structures code, tests it and explains their choices.
Communication and teamwork interviews
Conversations in English about giving and taking feedback, asking questions early and working inside a client team.
Your interview
When we shortlist engineers for your team, you interview them yourself and decide who joins.
