Light up a Life
Light up a Life is the corporate social responsibility programme of Twire in Colombo, Sri Lanka. It trains people with little or no professional background, mainly in HR and administration, and helps them into work at Twire or with partner companies.
Growing Twire sustainably, and having a positive effect on the community around our office, is part of how we run the business.
Who it is for
People in Sri Lanka who have little or no professional background and would otherwise not get the chance to start an office career. No experience in HR or administration is needed to begin.

How it works
Step 1: Training
Participants get practical, hands on training in HR and administrative work: the everyday tasks that keep an office running.
Step 2: A job at Twire
Our first goal is to employ participants ourselves, so the training leads straight to a real role.
Step 3: A job with a partner
When we cannot train or employ someone ourselves, we arrange training and employment with other companies in the corporate sector.

We are looking for companies in Sri Lanka that can offer training places or jobs, and for anyone who wants to support the programme or take part in it.
